I only got to do one cover for the Batman: The Brave and The Bold comic book while it was being printed. Hate they cancelled it as soon as the show was over, so I decided to just do my own make believe covers when I have the time. This one isn't strictly B:TBATB because I was looking at the Batman'66 comic and thought it'd be fun to do a Batman cover using one of BM'66's original villains, The Black Widow.

I hope that you'll bring back the brave and the bold as animated shorts for dc nation.
They would be fun to see again!

Doing stuff just for the fun of it, does it really get any better than that! Probably the ONLY Tallulah Bankhead fan art on the WHOLE of Deviantart!!! These are all really fun pieces, great stuff!

Is TV Wonder Woman on your radar? Love to see what you'd come up with her squaring off with that mind stealing, furry handed Darth Vader knock off alien!

This is so awesome! I really hope you're able to do those '66 variant covers. You'd be a great addition!

This is great, it's a shame, you never did an issue of the Brave and the Bold comic, but I'd love you to take a turn on a '66 story. It certainly seems to owe a bit of its stories' scale to Brave and the Bold.

Ha, Ha- Nice!  I'll always remember how excited she was about drinking milk on that show, lol.  Great piece!  And you guys snuck a bunch of BM's66's original villains in that prison break episode!  I wish B&B was still on the air- or if you could turn it into another 65 eps with 'Superman Presents' or something.

Her response to tasting milk for the first time was priceless..."So this is milk..."
Superman would be a far harder series to do in B&B style...the book was barely successful at it. Which isn't to say I wouldn't have given it a try. Though after Legion seasons 1&2 and Superman Unbound, i think i've said my piece on the Man of Steel.

I really thought they were going to do a Superman spin off show, as a tie in with Man of Steel. That would have been cool.

If memory serves, I think she was the last Batman TV villain.

I love both of those shows. And this art, I hope there's a "fun" Batman book out there for kids today.

Actually the last villain was Minerva, played by Zsa Zsa Gabor in Season 3. I know this show in and out...as anyone who watched BTBATB probably could tell lol

Oh, yes, I really loved the Black Widow in the 1966 show.  I'm very happy you kept her to her age (because Tallulah Bankhead was awesome) rather than making her younger, as most would.  I loved that she was older villainess and was experienced, yet still sexy.

Black Widow was always a favorite of mine as well from the '66 show. She's one of the few that doesn't get much love even from fans of the series. Tallulah rocked and her episode was hilarious but didn't make her any less a villain. I'd love to do a story showing how she became a widow. I kind of think Mrs. Max Black Widow did in her husband herself. lol

Yes!  I adored B:TBATB and cried at the cancellation of it, particularly since the finale was so emotional for me.  It was such a love letter to the Silver Age and never understood why people criticized it for being too light; I thought the show was extremely dark.  Characters died nearly every other episode and death was treated very seriously as well, such as the Waynes and B'wanna Beast and Ted Kord (who should have died this way in the comics, same as B'wanna...out like heroes).

So, this is awesome!  We saw a lot of cameos of the 1966 villains, I bought the comic spin-off because you brought them out of the background, like Egghead.  I always wanted to see more of that.  Egghead and Bookworm, in particular.

Thanks, Tran...I loved working on the show too. It was a real wish fulfillment gig. Left alone to create a show that truly celebrated Batman and DC Comics.

And thank you for really watching the show and noticing the nuances of what we were attempting to do...

You should do some of the variant covers for the '66 series.

I'd love to see that! Maybe you could work in some really obscure 66 villains, like "Louie the Lilac". I'm sure Egghead will show up soon enough, as well. Would it be possible for  you could post one that showcases a certain boy/teen wonder at some point (at your leisure, of course)...?

Thank you for replying!
